Mark recalls trying to hammer a nail while his father built a porch. Watching construction equipment later deepened that interest.

Technical and business studies, construction and government work, and volunteer fire service came before the shop. In July 2007, Mark and his wife opened Epsom Tool Rental at its present location.

The business reflects the values he learned growing up: work hard, treat people fairly and be honest. That practical, personal approach continues at the rental counter.
